I am a bit intrigued today with Family Group #7. I just sorted the group out yesterday. It seems that all three of the participants are related. And that perhaps they descend from a daughter of the Jacob Castle who was born 1761 ( For this post I will call him Jacob Jr.) The daughter of Jacob Jr. had a relationship with a man that she did not marry. She raised her male child by this man with her maiden name of Castle and called him Elijah Castle. Perhaps she never married. Perhaps she married someone else but continued to call her son by her maiden name. In the below map Castlewoods is the area the has the dotted red line.
Mary Alexander has a death record on her Ancestry tree for Elijah Castle. His date of death is 12 Jan 1889 and he is said to have been 96 when he died. This would have made his conception approximately 1793. And it also states that he was born in Russell county, Virginia.
